Mitski Lyric Video

This project is from a Motion Design class where I designed a lyric video for a song of my choice. My concept for this project was dealing with American Identity. I was very inspired by Yoko Ono's Cut Piece and layered clips of it throughout the video. I also wanted to incorporate colors from the American Flag without being super obvious. I chose colors that when put together did not feel overtly American, but still slightly familiar, using blocks of blue and red with the background of notebook paper. I layered all of this with handwritten type that was cut out and pieced back together in different ways as well as pictures I took of light and shadows.
